Town Clerk's Office:  Part Time Position

 
The Town Clerk’s office has an opening for a part-time clerical position performing routine clerical/receptionist duties.  Work schedule is Monday-Friday from 12:15 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Town Hall 1000 Ridge Road Webster, New York.  Candidates should have experience in customer service, Word and Excel.  Pre-Employment background screening and drug test are required.  Send a completed Monroe County Employment Application (available on the Town’s website) and resume to Human Resources, 1000 Ridge Road, Webster New York.


Parks and Recreation Employment Information

 
The Parks Department has an opening for a full time (40 hour workweek) Ground Equipment Operator.  This position is responsible for maintaining ball fields, parks, lodges/buildings, as well as performing preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities include plowing/shoveling snow, repairing fences, benches, tables, installing playground equipment, etc. 

Candidates for this position should have good knowledge of hand tools and power equipment; working knowledge of plant care and basic landscaping; ability to safely operate hand, power and motorized tools and equipment; ability to perform preventative maintenance and minor repair work on motorized grounds equipment and the ability to care for tools and equipment.  Candidates must have the ability to give and follow simple oral and written instructions; ability to push, hold, and lift  heavy equipment, tools, supplies, and debris; ability to climb ladders; willingness to perform manual labor; willingness to work alone; mechanical aptitude; endurance; and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.   Experience in landscaping, building maintenance, carpentry, electrical and/or plumbing work is preferred. Valid NYS driver’s license is required.  Pre-employment background screening and drug test required.
