The dedication of the First Responders Playground will be on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. The playground is on the grounds of the Town of Webster Parks and Recreation Center located at 1350 Chiyoda Drive. The park is located near the tennis courts and basketball courts (closer to Route 250). There is a road off of Chiyoda Drive that leads to a parking area.
On behalf of the Town Board and the Webster community, I invite the residents of Webster to this dedication ceremony in honor of Chip and Tomasz and all first responders. The new playground will be a wonderful area for the community to come together and there are plans to add a pavilion and water spray park in the area in the future.
Also in attendance at this event will be a number of fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and other medical emergency vehicles for residents and children to inspect and explore.
I hope that you will join me and the Town Board along will other government dignitaries in the dedication of this playground and in honoring Chip and Tomasz and all of the first responders that serve our community.

Webster Community Chest 65th Anniversary
The Webster Community Chest is celebrating 65 years of service to the Webster community! The WCC began as the Webster War Chest during WWII and it raised funds for the war effort. Over the years the needs of the community have changed and the now the WCC provides emergency services to those in need in ways that other social service agencies do not.
Our neighbors who help neighbors are celebrating this milestone by hosting a fundraising dinner on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Webster Recreation Center, 1350 Chiyoda Drive. Tickets are available for purchase at Hegedorns Market or by mail at WCC, 1000 Ridge Road, Webster.
