January means paying Town and County Tax Bill

Posted on January 6, 2014 at 12:11 PM by PattiAnn Schultz

The Town Clerk has sent to every homeowner their 2014 Town and County tax bill during the first week of January. The new tax rates are as follows : Town $4.53 per thousand,  County rate with County services included $9.29 per thousand, West Webster Fire, $1.10 and North East Fire at $1.16 per thousand of assessment.

Sewer rate for those on sewer is $167.50 per unit. Drainage fees for those in the drainage district is a flat rate of $37.45

Again, I must repeat that the Town of Webster has not done a town wide revaluation of property since 2004 and if you made no improvements to your home your assessment today would be the same as in 2004. So if your taxes went up it is because the municipality controlling that budget raised the rate, not because the assessment of your property here in Webster went up.

To pay your bill in full you must do that by February 10, 2014. To pay in installments you can do that in four payments starting on February 10th, then February 28th, March 31st and finally April 30th.

If you have any questions please contact the Town Clerk’s office at 872-1000.

As always, if you should you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at
