Since the first of the year the Town Board has been meeting with Larsen Engineers in workshop discussions about doing a solar project here in Webster at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on Phillips Road.
We have been asking ourselves what our long term goals and expectations from a solar project would be. Also we have been reviewing our historical electric usage and costs. We have been looking at where a solar array could be put that would benefit the town the most and give the town residents a payback on our investment.
These and a lot of other questions will be the subject of an informational meeting on May 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Board Room before the Town Board meeting that night or you can watch it on Cable 12 that same evening.
We welcome all Webster residents to join in the conversation as a representative from Larsen Engineers will be joining us to answer questions. At this point in time the Town Board is gathering facts on the solar project and no firm decision has been made yet on what next steps we might take going forward.
