As of Wednesday last week the New York State Department of Transportation installed the long awaited left hand signal arrow at Hard and Ridge Roads. The town has been experiencing long stacking problems down Hard Road and as part of a Hard Road traffic study this left hand arrow was encouraged.
We were notified in December that the light would be installed but the hard and cold winter pushed back the schedule. We are hopeful that this arrow will remedy the stacking problem that was evident daily on Hard Road.
Town will now respond on Facebook
I have had many requests for the Town of Webster to interact with residents on the website Facebook. The Town has had a Facebook page under government for a long time but has only used it to announce special events.
Starting on Wednesday last week the Supervisor’s office has been visiting the Facebook site and answering questions residents might have. The site address to visit is https://www.facebook.com/TownOfWebsterNY
The Supervisor’s office will visit the site daily and answer questions and post information there that is reverent to the community.
Town Offices Closed
Town offices will be closed on Friday, July 4th so that our employees can have a day off and spend time with their families. The Town Hall will reopen on regular business hours on Monday, July 7th at 8:30 a.m.
New Water Spray Park
The new water park at the Webster Recreation Center is waiting for the water equipment to arrive. The water lines and the concrete pad for the equipment have already been installed and it is just a matter of time before the equipment gets here and it is installed. We will advise residents when they can use the new park – hopefully very soon!
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at email@example.com
