I am sure during all of the holiday preparations each of us here in Webster took a moment to reflect and remember our two brave heroes, Mike Chiapperini and Tomasz Kaczowka, who gave the ultimate sacrifice to our community on December 24, 2012. I know that for me there were a flood of emotions that came rushing back as I heard of the two senseless deaths of two New York City Police Officers recently.
I am a life-long resident of Webster and I have known many of the Webster Police Officers over the years through my business and my job as Supervisor. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of the officers of the Webster Police Department and all of our First Responders who do an outstanding job for the Town of Webster. If you see one of these brave individuals now, and in the coming year, please join me in expressing appreciation for the job they do for all of us – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Showing appreciation is easy and goes a long way as we never know when one of us may need a police officer or a First Responder.
On Tuesday, December 30th the Town Board conducted our annual Organization Meeting for 2015. At the meeting we appointed members to the Planning Board, Zoning Board, Conservation Board, Parks and Recreation Board, Board of Assessment Review and Library Board. We also set the official town calendar for 2015, along with setting the salaries for elected, appointed and employed persons for the Town of Webster during the 2015 calendar year.
I look forward to another year of prosperity and providing great services to all Webster residents. It has been a great honor for me to serve as your Supervisor and I look forward to three more years of serving you as your Supervisor in 2015 and beyond.
As 2014 comes to a close and 2015 begins, on behalf of the Town Board, I wish all of our Webster residents a very Happy New Year and a year of good health.
