As the Town of Webster completed the new Webster Recreation building three years ago, the town put in an ice rink for Webster residents to enjoy. The rink has been flooded and will be maintained throughout the winter months as long as freezing temperatures prevail. The ice rink is open all day and has lighting so that you can also enjoy ice skating at night.
This is a great way for the family to enjoy the outdoors in the winter time and we encourage you to take the time to enjoy the ice skating rink at the Webster Recreation Center.
Winter Time and Fire Hydrants
Soon we might be seeing a significant amount of snow which will mean the covering of fire hydrants on your property or the street that you live on. When you are snow blowing your driveway or shoveling out your driveway, please give consideration to shoveling out around the fire hydrant. This is a crucial service that you can do in case of a fire that will assist our volunteer fire fighters from West Webster or Webster Fire Departments who then won’t have to waste critical time doing so when they need water to put out a fire on your street.
It may seem like a small thing to do but it could save life’s and it does not take much time to make yourself, and other homes on your street, just a little safer doing the winter months. The fire fighters and the Webster Town Board thank you in advance for this selfless jester to keep Webster safe.
Finding Us on Cable Channel 12
Many residents have commented to me that they cannot find the Town Board meetings at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday nights on Cable Channel 12. Well, we are still there but Time Warner has moved us to station 98.4 to all cable subscribers that have a direct cable line into their television sets. To residents that have a cable box we are still on cable channel 12.
The Town Board has noticed a decline in phone calls after our Town Board meetings and we attribute that to residents not knowing where the town board meetings are on Thursday nights at 7:30 p.m. This Town Board is all about providing the correct information to Webster residents all the time and we consider Cable 12 as one great source of information to you. So remember – we are still on cable television at 7:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month on Cable 12 (if you have a cable box) or channel 98.4 if you have a direct cable wired right into you television.
If you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at email@example.com
