It’s Christmas in July in many ways in and around town!

Town Board meetings on our Town Web site

Starting back in April, our new Director of Community Programming, Karen Buck, started putting Town Board meetings, and my monthly Electronic Town meetings, on our web site for residents to view at your leisure.  It was brought to our attention that finding the Town Board meetings on the new Time Warner cable line up was difficult for some residents, so Karen has made it her first priority to post them as soon as the meetings are over.

You can go to the town website to watch the meetings at your convenience.

As a reminder if you have a cable box the Town Board meetings are still on Cable Channel 12.  If you have a direct cable line in to your television, you can watch the Town Board meetings on station 98.4 at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday nights. My Electronic Town Meetings are on the second Wednesday night of each month.

It’s Christmas in July in many ways in and around town!

This weekend, July 25th and 26th, the Waterfront Art Festival will be held at North Ponds Park.  The festival is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day and there will be over 120 vendors on hand to show you their wares.  There will be a FREE shuttle service from Xerox to North Ponds Park both days. Please note that there will be no parking at North Ponds on the days of the events.

On Saturday you can also stop by the Webster’s Joe Obbie Farmers’ Market, located in the Webster Towne Center near the gazebo, and celebrate Christmas in July!  The market will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. There will be Christmas cookies, refreshments and the Webster Village Band will be playing Christmas tunes.  You never know … Santa may even make an early appearance!

After the market and enjoying the festival, spend the evening on Main Street in the Village at the Jazz Festival!  The Business Improvement District sponsors this event each year and it is a great time to visit with friends and enjoy some good music.

So take the time this weekend to enjoy the Waterfront Arts Festival at North Ponds Park, the Joe Obbie Farmers’ Market and join in the music at the Jazz Festival in the Village with family and friends!  What a fun way to have a great weekend in Webster.
