The Organizational Meeting for the Town of Webster will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Board Room. All residents are invited to attend and witness the Town Board take actions on many levels that will impact residents in 2017.
The Town Board will be selecting three attorneys to represent the Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals for 2017, along with selecting local residents to represent Webster on the Planning, Zoning and Conservation Boards.
We will also be nominating the banks that will be designated as depositories for town funds in 2017, along with setting the calendar for our employees for holidays and to also designate days the Town Hall will be closed. There will be new fees established and, once again, we will be making the Webster Herald the official newspaper of the Town of Webster where legal notices will be placed.
There will be no swearing-in of any elected officials for 2017 as elections for Supervisor, two council members and one Town Justice will take place in November with the swearing in taking place in January, 2018.
We hope you will take the time to attend or watch the Organizational Meeting so you can see firsthand how your local government, the government closest to you the resident, actually works and benefits you.
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org
