We are pleased to announce the launch of a new section on the Town's website called "Living Here". It is located under the "About Us" tab on the Town's main page. Several months in the making, this new section offers residents a one-stop spot for all aspects of living in Webster.
Are you looking to get more involved in the community? Visit the Organizations and Clubs section to find a comprehensive listing of every non-profit organization in town, from the Women's Club of Webster to the Joe Obbie Farmers' Market.
Are you, or a loved one in need of resources and assistance with addiction and recovery? The Addiction and Recovery Support Resources section offers a variety of information, from how to get a Recovery Coach, to NARCAN training, support groups, crisis hotlines, and resources from local, county, and state agencies.
Are you recently retired or looking to retire in Webster? Check out the Retirement Living section for informational listings from the retirement communities in town, along with the local senior services available.
Are you looking for a support group within the community? The Community Support Groups section offers information on the local groups and meeting times.
This is an ongoing community outreach effort, and these new sections will be continually updated for residents. We hope you find this new section of our website to be a valuable resource for Living Here in Webster!
2017 Annual Leaf Pick-Up begins October 23rd!
The Town of Webster Highway Department will start the annual Leaf Pick-Up on Monday, October 23rd, weather permitting. Every effort will be made to pick up leaves on a weekly basis until the week of Monday, December 4th. At that time, a final pass will be conducted throughout the town, starting from the West side to the East side.
This final pass through town may not take a full week and will depend on the amount of leaves needing to be picked up. This will also end the 2017 Fall Leaf Pick-up season. Any leaves collected after that will need to be bagged and left for your trash collector.
If anyone has any questions regarding the annual Leaf Pick-up, please contact the Highway Department at 872-1443, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Pharmaceutical Waste Pickup is October 28th!
There will be a pharmaceutical waste pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 226 Phillips Road, on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any unused, unwanted or expired medication is taken for disposal. No appointment is necessary.
If you do not feel comfortable with your personal information on the bottles, you can remove the pills and put them in a plastic bag for us to dispose of.
Since May, 2015, there has been a CVS Drug Collection unit at the Webster Town Hall. This permanent pharmaceutical waste drop box can be found inside the Webster Town Hall, located at the Police Department entrance. However, this unit is temporarily closed and will NOT be available until the Town Hall renovations are complete. We will keep everyone informed as to when this will reopen.
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at email@example.com
