The Town of Webster Highway Department started the annual Leaf Pick-Up on Monday, October 23rd. They are making every effort to pick up leaves on a weekly basis until the week of Monday, December 4th. At that time, a final pass will be conducted throughout the town, starting from the West side to the East side.
Just a reminder, as we move through the leaf season, leaves should be kept on your lawn and not raked in to the gutters or the road way. If leaves are in the road, this can cause traffic to move over and could cause an accident with oncoming traffic. Leaves in the gutters can clog catch basins and cause flooding in the streets and that could potentially cause water backups in your home.
This final pass through town may not take a full week and will depend on the amount of leaves needing to be picked up. This will also end the 2017 Fall Leaf Pick-up season. Any leaves collected after that will need to be bagged and left for your trash collector.
If anyone has any questions regarding the annual Leaf Pick-up, please contact the Highway Department at 872-1443, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at email@example.com
