Upcoming Dates for your Calendar …

Posted on April 5, 2018 at 8:38 AM by PattiAnn Schultz

  • Road Construction Season is here!

There will be road construction starting on April 2, 2018 on Phillips Road at Schlegel Road heading north to Lake Road.  This project, by the Monroe County Department of Transportation, will include widening the roadway, widening the shoulders, and completing water main and drainage work.  If the summer weather cooperates, this project will be completed by the fall, 2018.

  • Pharmaceutical Waste Pickup

There will be a pharmaceutical waste pickup at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, 226 Phillips Road, on Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any unused, unwanted or expired medication is taken for disposal. No appointment is necessary.

If you do not feel comfortable with your personal information on the bottles, you can remove the pills and put them in a plastic bag for us to dispose of.

The Town Hall also has a CVS Drug Collection unit at the Webster Town Hall.  This permanent pharmaceutical waste drop box can be found inside the Webster Town Hall, located at the Police Department entrance, 1000 Ridge Road, during regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Like with the pharmaceutical waste pickup, items accepted at the drop box include any unused, unwanted or expired medication such as prescriptions, prescription patches, prescription medication, prescription ointments, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, samples and medications for pets.

Items that are NOT accepted include hydrogen peroxide, inhalers, aerosol cans, ointments, lotions, or liquids, thermometers, needles (sharps) and medication from businesses or clinics.

  • Open House

We are still working out the details for a town-wide Town of Webster Open House!  This will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  There will be more information coming soon.

  • Summer Celebration

The time is coming for the Town of Webster’s annual summer party at the Webster Recreation Building. On Saturday, June 23rd at 4:00 p.m. the fun begins with food trucks, games, inflatables for all to enjoy.

From 5:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. there will be music to entertain everyone, followed by the finale of the evening which is the best fireworks you have ever seen!

So mark your calendar and plan on bringing your blanket and your family and enjoy an evening of food, fun and friends at the Webster Recreation Center!

  • The Waterfront Arts Festival

The annual Webster Waterfront Arts Festival will take place this year on Saturday, July 28th and Sunday, July 29th at North Ponds Park. This has been an outstanding event the last three years and we expect it to be as successful this year!

Artists from all over Monroe County will be there for the two days showing off their wares in a beautiful setting around North Ponds Park.  There will also be food trucks along with entrainment during the day, along with a wine tasting booth and other outstanding exhibits.

As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at
