This past Thursday morning Councilman Barry Deane and I, along with Village Mayor Darrell Byerts and Village Administrator Jake Swingly met at the Village Well Fields to review complaints that the town has received over dumping on the site.
The metals and other white goods have been removed from the site, and the mounds of concrete will be removed before the end of August.
This will restore the site back to its intended use of a well field and keep intact the Open Space Overlay District that the Town put on this area, and surrounding properties, in 2003 to keep the character of the area as open space and green space for the future of the town.
A big “Thank You” goes to the Village Trustee’s for listening to the town residents that live in that area and their concerns about the Village Well Field.
Joint Town and Village Sewer Study
The Town Board and the Village Board agreed in January to do a joint study regarding the Village Sewer Treatment Plant along with the Town of Webster’s Sewer Treatment plant.
The study will be done in a couple weeks and delivered to the Village Trustee’s and their consultant for their review. After that, the Town Board will schedule a public meeting on the report for the Webster residents to review and ask questions.
