The Town of Webster has always, and will continue, to use all means necessary to keep the Webster residents informed about all relevant activities happening in our town.
Each Town Board meeting, Planning Board meeting, and Zoning Board of Appeals meeting are broadcast live on cable station 1303 on Tuesday or Thursday nights. On the second Wednesday of each month I have a Supervisor’s dialogue, or what we call our Electronic Town Meeting, with one of the fourteen Webster Departments to keep Webster residents informed about what is on-going in their departments, at Town Hall, etc.
We publish all meeting notices in the official newspaper of the tow, The Webster Herald, before each meeting and all legal notices can be found in that publication as well. We have a Town of Webster web site at www.ci.webster.ny.us that has information about the Town of Webster, phone numbers to all the departments, the Town Code, past videos of the Town Board meetings and a new option that was added earlier this year.
This new feature is so that you can get notifications of Town Board, Planning Board, and Zoning board meetings three to four days before the event if you sign up on the town’s web site. All you have to do is:
Three times a year my office puts out the Webster Town Times delivered to each residential home in Webster. This publication is full of varied information about all departments in the town. We try to give residents the up-to-date information as we have it from Monroe County and New York State offices to pass along to you.
The Town of Webster also has a FaceBook page which also updates with meaning information daily. If you have not seen it you need to check it out and give us your likes and shares when possible.
The Town of Webster is determined to provide you with all of the information that we gather during our daily work. We certainly will not and do not withhold information from our residents on any topics. I believe that if you are not an informed Webster resident you are not looking to be informed because the Town of Webster is doing everything we can to get the true information out to everyone.
As always, if you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org
