The Town of Webster and Village of Webster collaborated on a joint study regarding our two Waste Water Treatment Plants. The purpose of the study was to determine if any savings could be achieved by consolidation of the two plants. The study has been received by both the Town of Webster and Village of Webster and recently, at a Town Workshop, the Town Board went over the plan with our consultants Barton and Loguidice. We look forward to having a joint meeting with the Village of Webster in either October or November to review the study. This meeting will be televised on Cable 1303 for all Webster residents to view and discuss. When the date for the meeting is scheduled, we will make sure to post the date on the Town's web site and in the Webster Herald well in advance of the scheduled meeting.
High School Revisited
On Saturday, September 22nd I attended the R.L. Thomas High School reunion for the graduating Class of 1968! There were 472 students and I just happen to be one of them. It was an outstanding event, and I enjoyed reminiscing and getting reacquainted with many friends and colleagues.
Pastor Samme Palermo and his team of 22 alumni provided us all with a good time and a lot of laughs. I gave an overview of Webster through the past 50 years, and we all had stories to tell about our high school years at R.L. Thomas.
The sad part of the evening was recalling the 60 class members who have passed away in the past five years, along with the many members who could not be located. It was a great reunion with many friends and I had a great time visiting with those at my table including Bob Mills, Eric Foote, Kit Bower, Dave Cole, and Johnny Byam.
