WOW! What a Grand Opening of the new Community Center! Hundreds of Webster residents and guest came out to see the fabulous new facility. The weather did not dampen spirits or hurt the attendance as the festivities where held in the gym before the ribbon cutting outside.
Residents of Webster need to be congratulated on their patience on waiting for the past six years while the planning took place, plus eighteen months more while construction was completed.
Every resident I spoke to Saturday had nothing but good things and rave reviews about the new building and activities it will provide the community for young and the not so young.
There are countless “thank yous” that need to go out to so many in the community that to make that possible I would need to take a couple of pages in the Webster Herald to get the message accomplished. I do need to say thanks to a few though: Mark Yeager, Jane Laskey and all the Park and Recreation Staff, Joe Herbst, Joe Marrapese and the entire Highway Department, Mike Buckley and the Parks Department, and Gary Kleist; all of these people spent everyday at the site working to provide Webster this opportunity for the future.
If you have not been to your new Community Recreation Center, please feel free to stop around any time and take a look for your self at the great things happen there. The building doors are open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
As always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068 or email me at email@example.com.
