A Special Note of Thanks

Posted on November 10, 2011 at 1:38 PM by Saveria Marrapese

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Webster Highway Department for the outstanding job they did at reconstructing the front entrance to the Webster Town Hall. I also must thank the Webster Parks Department for them taking out the over grown scrubs that had taken over the entrance to the building. They spent a week or more cutting and taking away the plants. The Highway Department then came in and excavated out the old entrance and front sidewalk and took out the roots of the shrubs that where left in place.

After re-grading and making the front entrance a little smaller, the crew poured new concrete for the new walk way. In the spring the Webster Parks Department will come up with a new planting arrangement for the new walk way into Town Hall. Special thanks go to both departments for their time and effort on this matter.

Another special thank you must go to those that coordinated the Pharmaceutical Waste Collection on Saturday, October 29th at the Waste Treatment Plant. I would to thank Off. Debra Hart and Jill Marquardt from the Webster Police Department along with Denise Jones and Dave Kalin from the Sewer Department for their help in collecting all the outdated medicines that residents brought that day which where destroyed after the event. This was the second such event this year and it was another success!
