WCCED Assisted in the Xerox Call Center

Posted on February 3, 2012 at 8:25 AM by PattiAnn Schultz

The Webster Community Coalition for Economic Development’s director, Glenn Cooke, was very instrumental in providing data and information to Xerox in preparation for them to make a decision on bringing the call center to Webster.

This is exactly why the five entities involved in WCCED, the Town of Webster, the Webster Central School District, the Village of Webster, the Webster Chamber of Commence, and the Business Improvement District (BID) formed and meet each month.

Our common goal is to enhance and grow development and interest in the Town of Webster for both commercial and residential endeavors.

Glenn spent many hours preparing the documentation needed by Xerox to bring these many jobs here to Webster. Glenn will also meet with any other business in town that would like help or assistance in expanding or moving their business to larger quarters in town. He can also help in giving direction in finding outlets that might provide tax incentives or help in strengthening your business.

In forming WCCED, the five entities knew from the first day that economic development is a very slow and tenuous process to succeed at. However, we all knew that we needed to keep Webster’s name and attributes out front here in Monroe County. We needed to promote ourselves and the great town, village, school district, and business environment that exist here each and every day.

By having the call center here in Webster as its home is only one small ripple in an on going effort by my proud colleagues and the town to continue to make Webster a desirable place to live work and raise a family.

For more information on WCCED please free feel to contact Glenn Cooke at 269-4939 or visit our web site at or contact any of the five partners.
