Remembering 2010 ~ Looking Forward to 2011

Remembering 2010 ~ Looking ahead to 2011

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to all Town of Webster employees for the hard work they did in 2010 in what proved to be a very busy year here in Webster.

The town took on a number of projects in 2010 which included re- paving and restoring roads, rebuilding sewer treatment pump stations and a new Parks and Recreation Building on Chiyoda Drive, which is expected to be completed in October of 2011.

The Webster Police Department continues to provide our residents with the professional services expected from an accredited law enforcement agency.

A special note of recognition goes to the men and women of our volunteer fire departments and EMT units in Webster who, especially during this time of the season, not only brave the elements, but put their safety in harms way to help others in need.

The Webster Public Library remains one of the premier libraries in Monroe County offering customers everything from the latest reading materials to DVD’s.  The library staff has also been very helpful in providing reading materials and other information to those individuals who unfortunately lost their jobs during the past year and are working hard to retrain themselves in order to find suitable employment.

I would be remiss again not to thank the staffs at Town Hall, Justice Court, and Public Access Television for all of their hard work this year.  I would especially like to that my assistant, PattiAnn Schultz, for her dedication and assistance in the daily operation of my office.

To the men and women who serve on our numerous boards that include the Planning Board, the Zoning Board, the Conservation Board , the Library Board, the Board of Assessment Review and the Cable Access Commission; a special thank you for the countless hours of your own time that you provide to the town.

Last, but certainly not least, I would like to thank the Webster Town Board for all the hard work they did in 2010 that included keeping our town tax rate stable for the fourth straight year in a row.

The Town Board accomplished a lot in 2010 but there is still plenty of work that needs to be done as we approach a new year. Please know that both the Board and I will continue our vigilance when it comes to fiscal common sense government along with making our community a place where people can be proud to call home.

During my term as your Supervisor, I have maintained an “open door” policy when it comes to dealing with the public. That will continue in 2011 as well. If you need to contact me during regular business hours, please call me at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at

On behalf of all of us at the Town of Webster may you, your family and friends have a safe, happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year.
