Leaf Pick-Up to Begin Soon!

Posted on October 15, 2012 at 11:41 AM by PattiAnn Schultz

The Highway Department will begin picking up leaves on Monday, October 22nd and will continue until the end of November. This year because of the dry summer, leaves are falling early and some residents have already begun to rake leaves and put them in the road. This is not a recommended thing to do because it can cause sanitary grates to become clogged and flood the streets. All leaves should be raked to the edge of the property and left on the grass for pickup. I understand that you might think the leaves will kill the grass but it will grow back in a short period of time.

Public Hearing on the 2013 Budget

On Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. the Town Board will answer any questions residents might have on the 2013 Budget that was in the Webster Herald last week. This will be your time to comment on any line item or department that you might have questions about. Pension and health care are the driving cost increases in this year’s budget that have the Town Board asking for a tax increase for the first time in six years.

Should you have any questions about your town government, please feel free to contact me during regular business hours at (585) 872-7068; or email me anytime at
