The Economies of Scale of a Regional Plant:

Labella engineers were contracted by the Village to do the study and figures for an upgrade to the Village sewer plant. It came out to be a cost of $10.9 million. Barton & Loguidice engineers were contracted by the Town to do a study and figures for an upgrade to the Town sewer plant. Then, Labella and Barton and Loguidice worked together on the study and figures for a Regional plant. The Village portion of the Regional plant would be $8.8 million. This is $2.1 million LESS than the investment in the Village-only plant and shows the economies of scale of a Regional plant.
