Beginning approximately the week before Halloween, depending on leaf drop, and continuing on a daily basis until the week ending December 4th. During that week we will make one final pick up throughout the town, starting from the West side to the East side. This will end our Fall Leaf Pick-up.

We will need the full cooperation of every individual in trying to pick up leaves on a regular schedule. The following requests are being made by the Town Highway Superintendent:
- Leaves only to be placed in a pile at lawn’s edge, not in the gutter, road, or over a catch basin. It is against the law to place anything (i.e. leaves, sticks, debris, snow) in the road.
- Do not mix branches, stones, garbage, or anything else in with the leaves. This slows down the job, as well as damaging the leaf machine. If the piles are mixed, WE WILL LEAVE THEM.
We know that sometimes we are unable to keep up with the above schedule, but please be assured that there will be at least four pickups. If anyone has any questions in regard to the above, please contact the Highway Department at 872-1443 between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M.
Also, anyone who wants leaves, please call the Highway Department.
Joseph Herbst - Superintendent of Highways
