Webster Community Center
The Webster Community Center, located at 985 Ebner Drive, off Ridge Rd., is a center of activity for all ages, from preschoolers to seniors citizens.
We continually focus on providing new and innovative programming that meets the needs and interests of our residents. These activities and programs are listed in our program guide, which is published three times a year in May, September and January, and mailed to every household in the town. Each program guide contains approximately 200 different programs, including large family events; health and wellness, arts and crafts and educational programming; summer fun camps, sport camps and much more.
Every day we welcome about 45 seniors to our bustling Community Center for exercise classes, bingo, knitting or just socializing with friends. Additionally, we provide a senior lunch program through the Monroe County office of the Aging. This is a vital program, for it ensures that our seniors who have health issues or difficulty preparing their own meals, enjoy a nutritious meal Monday through Friday.
We are always looking for ideas, feedback or comments concerning our programming. Feel free to call us at 872-7103 or e-mail parksandrec@ci.webster.ny.us
And just for fun, here’s a couple of did you knows – Last year we offered over 600 programs, and 18,000 residents participated in those programs. Also, there are only 3 full time and 2 part time staff members overseeing those 600 programs.
