Traffic Cases
Legal Representation
Some vehicle and traffic matters, such as speeding violations, are violations and not criminal matters. Nevertheless, they can involve fines and the loss of driving privileges. Defendants are advised to consider consulting an attorney whenever their licenses are in jeopardy. Although you are not required to hire a lawyer in a traffic infraction matter, it may be in your best interest to do so.

Additional Fees & Payment
In addition to fines on traffic infractions, the State of New York imposes a surcharge on moving violations and equipment violations in the amounts of $55 and $35, respectively. The court does not accept personal checks as payment. Fines must be paid by cash, money order, or MasterCard or VISA credit cards.
