[ARCHIVED] Potential Sewer Regionalization: FAQ's on Village's current sewer plant & employees

Potential Regionalization of Village and Town of Webster Sewer Plants: in-depth analysis from Supervisor Tom Flaherty

FAQ’s on Village’s current sewer plant location, and employees if Webster goes to a regionalized plant:

1. What happens to the location of the Village sewer plant at Wall Rd. and 250?

Some functions will be ceased, while others will remain functioning to catch and breakdown solids before sending on through the collection system to the regional plant. Some buildings will be taken down and others will be repurposed. Village DPW could have opportunities at this site.

2. What happens to employees currently working at the Village sewer plant?

NONE would lose employment. Some would stay with the Village within other DPW functions. Others would be eligible to be employed at the regional plant
